Terramoto ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Location Data

If you grant permission, Terramoto may access your device's location to:

Center the map on your current position
Calculate distances to simulated earthquake epicenters

Location data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

2.2 App Settings

Your simulation preferences (time multiplier, visualization settings) are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms.

3. Advertising

Terramoto displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and use certain information to serve personalized ads. This may include:

Device identifiers (such as advertising ID)
IP address
General location (based on IP address)
App usage data

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:

iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

Terramoto does not directly collect, store, or transmit:

Personal identification information
Account or login information
Usage analytics or tracking data
Your location to external servers
Simulation results or interactions

5. Third-Party Services

Terramoto uses the following services:

Apple Maps: Map tiles and satellite imagery
Google AdMob: Advertising services

These services may log standard request data according to their own privacy policies.

6. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device:

Simulation settings are stored in UserDefaults
Elevation and bathymetry data is bundled with the app
No simulation data is stored on external servers

7. Simulation Data

The earthquake and tsunami simulations are computed entirely on your device using Metal GPU acceleration. No simulation data is transmitted externally.

8. Children's Privacy

Terramoto does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.

9. Your Rights

You can:

Deny or revoke location permissions at any time in iOS Settings
Opt out of personalized advertising in iOS Settings
Delete the app to remove all locally stored data

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
