There may be differences between the boundaries displayed and the official record held by the Portuguese tax authority, the land registry or BUPi itself.
BUPi only contains rural and mixed properties voluntarily registered by their owners. Urban areas and the Autonomous Region of the Azores are not covered. The available data represents roughly 28% of continental Portugal as of this release.

Legal, tax, real-estate or land-management decisions should be based on official information obtained directly from the Portuguese tax authority, the relevant land registry office, BUPi or DGT. Property boundaries are provided as open data by BUPi, published on dados.gov.pt. Administrative boundaries (districts and municipalities) come from Portugal's Official Administrative Map (CAOP) published by Direção-Geral do Território. Satellite imagery is provided by the World Imagery service from Esri. The use of this data is subject to the respective licence terms.
