The short version

Flipside does not collect, send or sell any information about you. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no account. Your progress is stored only on your iPhone.

What the app collects

Nothing. Flipside does not collect personal information, contact details, location, identifiers, usage statistics or crash reports, and it does not use any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.

The app does not need an internet connection and does not send data to us or to anyone else. The Daily Puzzle is generated on your device from the date, so it works without a network connection too.

What stays on your iPhone

To remember your game, Flipside saves the following inside its own private storage on your device:

Level progress: stars and best scores
Coins, lives and your daily login streak
Your Daily Puzzle results (stars, score and the sequence of moves, so you can share them)
Settings such as theme, colorblind shapes, sound, haptics and tilt

This data never leaves your device through Flipside. It may be included in your own iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone, which Apple handles under its own privacy policy. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Motion sensors (Tilt to flip)

If you switch on Tilt to flip in Settings, Flipside reads your iPhone's motion sensors while you play, only to work out which way you are tipping the phone. These readings are used immediately and are never stored or sent anywhere. The feature is off by default.

Sharing your Daily Puzzle result

When you tap Share result, Flipside opens the standard iOS share sheet with a short text: the puzzle number, your stars and score, and a row of emoji showing your moves. Nothing is shared unless you choose an app and send it. The text contains no personal information.

Purchases

Flipside can be played completely free; every level can be beaten without buying anything. If optional in-app purchases (such as coin packs or theme packs) are offered, they are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.

Children

Flipside is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children either.

This website

This website (portwally.github.io) is hosted on GitHub Pages and uses GoatCounter for simple, cookie-free page-view counts. GoatCounter does not use cookies or track you across sites. GitHub may log technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site; see GitHub's privacy statement. The app itself contains none of this.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority (in Portugal: the CNPD). Since Flipside holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete, but you are always welcome to ask.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. The core promise stays the same: Flipside does not collect your data.
