Apple II ASCII Art is a fully offline desktop application. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
The app converts images you choose into Apple II–style ASCII art entirely on your own Mac. All image processing happens locally in memory; nothing is uploaded to any server.
None. The app:
The app reads image files you explicitly open or drag into the window, and writes export files (text or Applesoft BASIC) only to locations you choose via the standard macOS Save dialog. The app is sandboxed and only has access to files you select.
If you choose to share crash reports with Apple via macOS’s built-in mechanism, those go directly to Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. The app itself does not transmit any diagnostics.
The app bundles the PrintChar21 and PRNumber3 fonts from Kreative Korporation. These are embedded font files only — no network calls or tracking are involved.
This website (portwally.github.io) uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly visitor counter that does not use cookies and does not track personal information. No data is shared with third-party advertisers.
The app does not collect any data, so it does not knowingly collect data from children. It is suitable for general audiences.
If this policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
